This is what I’ve spent a lot of my morning doing! Bringing back great childhood memories. I remember the first time I cracked this baby open, the smell of freshly manufactured plastic and electronics. And that smell has stayed with me all of my life. And it still smells like that. What’re some of your best childhood gaming memories?

The artist pretty much sums up the evolution of gaming in this very cool minimalistic piece. There has been a decline in the amount of buttons lately. It’s crazy to think that since we started we only had one button and then up to a max of nineteen, now we’re down to no buttons at all. Do you think the gaming revolution will eventually be a buttonless paradise?

GPOY Thumbs Up Edition: After rewatching the Avengers I do have to say there are some things that have bothered me a bit. Mainly the sentient being from the Chitauri that Loki is talking to at the beginning of the movie and later on consulting about the Tesseract. Granted, it’s a very minor thing, but it still looks a bit off to me. He looks like a Power Rangers villain.
I paid Matinee pricing this day. Verdict? Still one of the greatest super hero movies of all time. If not the greatest. I do have to say that it is definitely on par with the Dark Knight for me, which is a movie I adore. Although, as a traditional superhero movie, I think Batman stands as more of a crime drama with some spandex thrown in. Avengers feels more like a real super hero movie. Mainly because there are actual characters with actual super powers.
It’s still get’s five star, full price ticket out of me.
